| We believe it is the responsibility of Florida citizens to be directly involved with federal, state, and county agencies, which were formed for the purpose of designing and implementing adaptive lake management policies. As lake users, we directly affect the state of our favorite freshwater lakes. With each new development within a watershed area, the habitat and environment changes and presents additional responsibilities for all. The government's lake and water management agencies exist to serve the taxpayers, and as responsible taxpayers we should remain organized; unified for the purpose of benefiting those agencies, as well as ourselves. It is to this end that we invite you to become involved with us and likewise we will become involved with you; forming a coalition of responsible lake users of every kind, working to preserve and conserve one of our great state's natural resources -- freshwater lakes and rivers and their source watersheds. Since we continually change our lake's environment, we must take part in the formation of an "Adaptive Management Strategy" which "Saves Our Source of Florida Lakes." - Welcome to S.O.S.
